Advanced Reverse Engineering and Malware Analysis
Analyzing malware through the process of reverse engineering has for years been the main way to stop malware attacks. Typically, malware analysis, or reverse engineering classes would teach you simple run time analysis techniques through basic applications. In these common reverse engineering classes you would install the malware on a VM and run a packet sniffer, a registry monitor, a file monitor and then a process monitor. Pretty simple process and most people in security don’t need a class to teach them this.
The Advanced Malware Analysis (AMA) class takes reverse engineering to an advanced level. The AMA training class is to provide a methodical hands-on approach to reverse-engineering by covering both behavioral and code analysis aspects of the analytical process.
